This photograph was taken in october 2019 by a friend, in the middle of curfew,

 in the center of the Santiago city,

just meters from the government palace with an analog camera

 with a roll in black in white

The moment captured had a lot of movement and 

the action itself reflected the rage and adrenaline of what was being experienced. 

The fire creates contrast with the darkness and allows us to see these two silhouettes

performing the action.

When the photographs came to me I decided to immediately edit that in specific

 because the moment captured had a lot of movement 

and the action itself reflected the anger and adrenaline of the moment that was being 

experienced. 

First I tried to keep the original balance of black and white,

 just lighten it up a bit and touch up some details, but the result did not convince me. 

Then I start play with the colour and a lot of layers mixed by opacity or another blending 

modes.

I also added several filters in each of these layers giving as a result this image. 

In this image I tried to highlight as much as possible the silhouettes of the people,

contrasting it with the color of the fire and taking advantage of the darkness of the original 

photograph.

POST 5: My Future Job

  I'd like to work free way, and given the specification I'm looking for in the Film career which is editing it's not that hard to happen. Ideally it would be in 'indoor' because of the tools I need to edit.  I would like to be able to travel to different countries but still live there for a while. I wouldn't mind having or working in an office as long as it adjusts what I want to do and not to be under contract or with a supervisor.  I'm studying Film but I'm specifically in the area of editing or montage. I would also like to study some post-production which is still in the line of editing.

          found it quite nice for the past experiences with other teachers, the use of the blog was perhaps not a challenge or something new for me as I already had it before but I found it a good platform to practice. I think mainly speaking in English. I usually understand almost everything I read in English but I find it difficult to formulate it orally.  To solve this I think only practice will do. Outside of class I actually make a lot of use of the language, at least on the internet I think the use of Spanish and English for me is very similar in the amount of content I consume.

Post 8: A Subject you've enjoyed studying this semester

  The course I enjoyed the most this semester was "Taller Documental". This course is the main subject of the third year of my career, it is here where we are given the contents and we are taught ways to make documentaries. In class we have a programmed viewing according to the subject that was discussed in class.The reason why it was my favorite subject is because it was the only course where we did practical exercises and essentially filming. In addition, although the exercises were given a concept, it could be approached in any way I wanted because what we wanted was to exercise and experiment in order to find a way that would suit us to make a documentary. The best thing was the viewing of the exercises where we saw the video of each partner and with that to know the interests of each person or the ways of dealing with the reality that surrounds them and show it.
